Eragon is a young boy living in Carvahall in the Palancar valley. While thing are going normally, Eragon goes hunting in a dark forest called the Spine for his cousin and his uncle to have food for the winter, when he finds a strange rock. He brings the rock back to Carvahall. Then things start to get spooky. A couple days later the rock is gone and in it's place is and eerie saphire dragon.
